Hi,

Can one any one know the maximum size of the D-loop in vertebrates (fish).

We recently sequenced the whole genome of fish using Pacbio HIFI reads 99% accuracy.

After extracting the replicon from the whole genome data after annotation we are able to find a D-Loop region of size 3594.

I did a blastn to check the sequence similarity, it turned out to be only 1200 nt matched.

Suggestions appreciated.

In fish it ranges from 800 - 1200 bp.

Duplicated control regions may be due to concerted evolutionary process.
