Hi. I opened the reference genome of Pinus taeda v2.01. https://treegenesdb.org/org/Pinus-taeda

There are 4545 of supers and 230624 of scaffolds in that file. I know the meaning of scaffold, but what does super mean?

Hi! From Precision nomenclature for the new genomics:

Super-scaffolds: Ordered scaffolds produced by methods such as optical mapping and chromosome conformation capture technologies .
