Convert chr:position to rsid

Dear All,

I have a PLINK file (.bed .bim and .fam) and in the .bim file, I have the SNPs as chr:position. However, I need to convert this chr:position to rsids. I saw there are some posts related to this but I could not figure out it yet. Coould you kindly let me know the possibility of this conversion using PLINK2? I found --recover-var-ids in PLINK2 but I don't have any idea whether this command can be used to do this conversion and if possible what is the "strict-bim-order" means in this command? I really appreciate your helps.
