I found that but still confusing:

A frameshift mutation is a genetic mutation caused by a deletion or insertion in a DNA sequence that shifts the way the sequence is read.

A mutation where the protein production machinery can continue to read the DNA sequence after the mutation. It may result in a protein with sections missing or substituted, but since the majority of the protein remains intact it may still be partially functional. In-Frame. A deletion is in-frame if the reading frame of the gene is preserved and not disrupted, so some dystrophin protein can be made. The protein may be shorter than normal, but it is still functional.
