FigTree and ggtree

Hi all,

I am trying to modify a phylogenetic tree and I need to put, instead of the name of the sample for the tip labels, a shape which indicates the type of sample and a colour which indicate the location of the sample. For what I've seen, this is not possible in Figtree (it just wrote the location and colour by tyoe of sample, but doesn't allow you to put a shape instead).

So, I tried with ggtree and it worked. After that, I would like to export this tree with graphics and then continue editing in Figtree. I did it doing as.phylo(myggtree) and then using write.tree. The problem is that when I open the tree on Figtree it doesn't have the graphics modified in ggtree. Maybe this is not possible? Do you have any ideas?

You can put emojis instead of names! I made this in figtree for example, the branch labels are emojis. You're a bit limited by emojis but it's not too terrible for a few symbols.
