Can Singularity be installed on a single-node server or does it have to be HPC?

I would like to request that the university server admin installs Singularity, but wanted to check if it is possible to install it on a single-node server (not a HPC)?

Thank you

It's not the hardware setup (HPC, workstation, laptop, single-node server) that determines what can be installed or not, but the operating system. Singularity can be installed on Linux. I have it for example on my local workstation and laptop. Should be possible, just ask them.

Singularity is designed to be lightweight and efficient, making it suitable for deployment on both single-node servers and HPC environments.
