Hello everyone, I have a doubt related to difference between association study and chip-seq. I want to find regulatory elements including TF responsible for a particular disease. Now I can do it using chip-seq as well as association study like TWAS. I want to ask is there any advantage of doing TWAS and finding the regulatory element as compared to chip-seq ? Thank you
If I put my outgoing mail in a blue box, the postman picks it up, right? So if I want to understand the outgoing mail system all I have to do is find blue boxes. On the other hand, I could simply map where the mail carriers pause, assume those are mail collection sites, and drop my outgoing mail there. In reality, I would want both kinds of evidence, as either alone is problematic. TWAS suggests locations. ChIP-Seq tells you if a factor is actually there or not. They're different kinds of evidence implying a regulatory mechanism, but neither is complete.
okay, so in order to get a complete picture i can combine both of these methods?
