I'm wondering if there's a free access cohort type study (of European ancestry) out there, like the UK BioBank. I tried accessing several ones mentioned in PRS papers since that's what i'm working on and would like to test some scores, but all of them are behind extensive paperwork and a paywall.
You mean fastq files? Or variants?
Just variants. I'm trying to test scores created with GWAS studies + pruning and thresholding.
There should be quite some European ones in the genomAD 1000 Genomes and Human Genome Diversity Project dataset?
I never applied for it, but access to FinnGen data also seems to be quite straightforward, even though you have to register.
Yeah, the thing is I need cohort studies data since I need data at the individual level (variants + phenotype, there's no way I can test the scores otherwise). The FinnGen individual data is not accessible If you are not affiliated to one of the partners of the study.
AFAIK, most cohort study has strict access requirement e.g. UKB, FinnGen due to privacy concern. If you really want, you might be able to apply to WTCCC, but the sample size for that might be a bit small.
