Hi, Please I need help with producing visualization for genomic DNA regions such as seen in these figures I obtained from a publication:

Repeats structure

The other image also shows the regions of a chromosome by color.

chromosome regions

I just need information on the right tools (not IGV) that could make these visualizations.

Thank you.

What's the publication? What kind of data do you have? What format is it in? What are you familiar with (R, Python, anything else)?

So sorry I am just getting back to this, I am only seeing it because I wanted to make another post. Thank you for your response. I am not sure of the publication again, but the data is the repeat content of a chromosome rendered from a bed file. The essence of getting a genomic tool is to account for the size of the genome relative to another, as well as the exact locus of the feature.

Hey polag,

It's not really clear to me what is that you need but I would suggest Artemis, it is a nice tool for genomic visualisation, it takes .fasta, .gbk, .gff3 and so. If you want you can color code different features.
