Hello, my name is Edson Amaral. I am currently developing research that aims to seek the relationship between SNPs and alcohol consumption behavior. In this work, my group and I aim to evaluate variants in preselected genes. For this analysis, we thought of using SKAT in order to assess the potential influence of multiple SNPs on a single gene for the phenotype in question. However, none of the group's components has experience with the tool. We already work with R, however we don't know the SKAT package deeply. Is there any open access material that can be consulted to carry out such an analysis?
