Hi all,
As PHASTER web-servers are currently out of use, I would still like to be able to predict prophage regions within a bacterial genome. Note that this genome is fragmented into multiple contigs.
I tried DBSCAN-SWA, Virsorter or PhaMer but I get results that are not comparable to PHASTER, either in terms of the prediction itself or results visualization.
Do you have any other suggestions, please?
Many thanks for your help!
Are you sure the web server is offline? It seems to be up and serving pages.
Thanks for your reply GenoMax. When I try to upload any genome, I get the following error message:
Even trying on different computers, the same message appears as the servers seem off.
Have you used the email link to let them know along with the jobID?
Of course, but I haven't got a response from their side. Hence why I am looking for another tool to be able to predict prophage sequences within bacterial genomes.
Perhaps contacting Dr. Wishart directly may help. You can easily find out the email by following links on PHASTER page. Post-docs/students move on and sometime a PI may not even realize that a tool from their lab is orphaned.
