Hi, everyone,
When I searched a gene in DepMap portal, in the "Top Co-dependencies
CRISPR (DepMap Public 23Q2+Score, Chronos)" section, there is a 100-gene list with a correlation score. Do you know what that score means? And how we interpret the results of this section?
Thank you
It's just the pearson correlation between the CRISPR dependency scores for the genes across all lines. For example, BRAF is listed as a co-dependency of SOX10 (correlation of 0.57), and this is what plotting each of their scores looks like:
A positive value indicates that the scores tend to increase together. A negative score would indicate that the genes are opposing, e.g. one scoring highly in a sample means the other tends to score lowly in the same sample.
Thank you Jared.Andrews for your answer, Yes, you are right; the top co-dependencies, whose dependency scores are highly correlated with that of the query gene.
