I have a question about sequencing
Can I choose the sanger sequencing?
Suppose I would like to sequence a gene (for example, BRCA2) in order to identify both the DNA sequence and the protein sequence.
Aim: to identify each position in the dna and protein, and the type of mutation occurring ( insertion, deletion etc)
You do appreciate that BRCA2 is a large gene (84kb) so while you could use sanger sequencing it would be rather expensive. A higher throughput method may be initially used and then the mutations found could be confirmed with sanger sequencing.

What are you actually aiming to show? Why do you want to use Sanger specifically?
