How do I install plink2 on a mac?

Hey, I am using a MAC M1 kind of computer and I want to install plink2 on it. I downloaded it and clicked on it but nothing has really happened from there. I have no experience with working in the terminal in MAC, could anyone help me with this? Thanks!

Download and click will work a tiny bit because the file is an archive. Double clicking on the extracted executable on the other hand will do nothing.

Not recommended, but plink has a Java based GUI:

If you downloaded from this page: https://www.cog-genomics.org/plink/2.0/, you already have the executable when you unzip the file. Beyond this point, you need basic command line knowledge to use plink2. Assuming you downloaded to the Downloads folder, you will need to open the Terminal app, type in cd ~/Downloads and then use ./plink2 and supply options and parameters as applicable.
