Unexpected read length from NGS

Hi all,

I have sent sequencing samples for NGS with 151bp lengths. However, they return some samples with read length of only 65bp, other samples were 151bp.

Do anyone have experience before and know what problem have happened?

If the provider does scanning/trimming of the data before delivery then it is possible that some of the reads were trimmed due to short inserts. If every read is 65 bp in affected sample(s) then clearly there was a mistake (assuming there was no miscommunication) on the providers part. You can get in touch with them to rerun the affected samples.
