Trimming from 151bp to 65bp

Hi all,

I figure out that when I used the trimmed version from commercial company, they return me the sequencing length of 65bp, whereas if I performed trimming process myself using trimgalore, the sequencing remains 151bp as the sequence look good.

Does anyone have an ideas why they cut from 151bp to 65bp (this is Illumina seq)?

This question can't be answered with the information we have access to. You need to work with the commercial company to understand what they did and see if that explains the 65 bp result. If every reads is 65 bp then that sounds like a hard trim (perhaps by mistake).

They gave you the original data as well (since you seem to have trimmed it yourself). If you are confident in your own trimming then go on with the rest of the analysis.
