I have found a plant gene through literature that shows resistance to insects. I want to conduct bioinformatics analysis to confirm resistance of a plant gene against insect.

Kindly suggest any approach or tools that can be used to identify resistance of a gene against insects to improve crop yield.

Thank you!

This sounds to much like a homework assignment

try a few things and let us know what you find

I think you have the logic the wrong way around. Bioinformatic analyses don't confirm interactions by themselves. That's what in vivo experiments are for. in silico approaches generally identify candidates that are taken forward for in planta confirmation, at least in the field you are talking about. That said, there are many things you could do to further explore these candidates, fold and dock candidate proteins and checking the timing of expression in both organisms, among others.

Yes, in vivo experiment has been performed that confirms that overexpression of a particular gene after crisper-cas showed resistance to insect. Now I have to perform bioinformatic analysis to confirm the experiment. Is it possible if yes what can be the approach. Also can we perform RNAseq analysis?

It sounds like the published in vivo experiment found a causal gene for the resistance phenotype. But it's still unclear what you are trying to achieve. You cannot confirm an in vivo experiment with an in silico one, it's the other way around.
