• Extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file to a directory of
  your choice. For example, C:\sratoolkit
• Open the Control Panel and go to System and Security > System.
• Click on Advanced system settings on the left side.
• In the System Properties window, click the Environment Variables button
• Under System variables, find the Path variable and click Edit.
• Click New and add the path to the bin directory inside your extracted SRA Toolkit folder (e.g., C:\sratoolkit\bin).
• Click OK to close all windows.

• Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.

  prefetch <SRA_ACCESSION>
