Linear regression models on non-linear dataset

Dears,

I am trying to find the correlation between 1 dependent and multiple independent variables. I want to run regression models to find the correlation between them. First I visualize the data in scatter plot and qq plot and found that my data is non-linear.

The question is, is it possible to run linear regression models like LASSO, Ridge, and Elastic Net on this non-linear dataset? if yes, is there a specific step that should be done before applying the model like transformation or anything else? OR use these models directly to this data

A couple of comments. Firstly, please provide data/plots when you post as we cannot see what your non-linear data looks like and may change our suggestions based on what it looks like. Secondly, if this question doesn't get much attention on here, it might be worth cross-posting to a dedicated statistics forum like Cross Validated, but please indicate it is cross posted.
