Dear experts and researchers,
I am working on NUMT insertion time and have calculated the NUMT insertion time. I would like to seek your guidance regarding my calculated data, which includes Divergence, Divergence (Proportion), and NUMT Insertion Time. The filtering criteria I have used for the NUMT sequences are Identity % < 96 and Alignment Length > 3000 bp.
My question is related to creating a graph (visualization). What type of graph should I create (bar chart, scatter plot etc.) to best represent this data?
Guide me if I am making any mistakes.
Bundle of thanks.
Have you tested some of visualisation methods out already? Visualisations can be quite subjective in some cases, so if you had some ideas (or even an close example, hand drawn sketch could also help) of what you might want to go for, it might help narrow down on the best way to visualise it.
One good thing to think about (when coming up with visualisations for data) is: What is the point that you want to show, and what point you want to get across to a person looking at it. Is it to show that one condition is super different to the rest? To show that all of these are actually closely linked together? Maybe to show certain interesting patterns that you found?
