Can non-integer data be used as input for Monocle3?

Greetings,

We are working on data that are not originating from scRNASeq; however, they have enough similarity in their structure so that we could use various scRNAseq approaches on it.

We are very interested in trying to run the trajectory analysis using monocle3, but unfortunately, our data are not integers. Therefore, I was wondering if the algorithm would still work reliably if we use it on our non-integer data?

Thank you very much for your help

Regards,
Anna
