Hey everyone! I'm a student working on a project, and I'm really trying to find whole cancer genome sequence data. Does anyone know where I could get access to this or maybe has some experience with it they'd be willing to share? I saw some older posts suggesting places like the Genomic Data Commons Data Portal, but a lot of it needs you to log in and request access, which is kind of confusing. So if anyone has any tips or knows a simpler way, I would SO appreciate the help!
If you are looking to get original sequence data then it is going to be restricted because of privacy concerns for major projects like TCGA. So unless you have a mentor who can get the necessary permissions it may be difficult to get.
You can get counts from such samples without restrictions though. An easier source may be https://www.cbioportal.org/
