I am currently conducting research to find markers that differ between young and old samples. However, despite performing batch correction(sex), many of the markers identified as aging markers show high expression only in older males or older females when I check their feature plots. How can I address this issue? It’s not practical to manually plot feature plots for every gene, so could you suggest a good method to efficiently identify markers that are highly expressed specifically in both older males and older females, as I highlighted in red?
What method are you using to identify markers and does it allow for nested designs?
