Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce our upcoming online course: Cancer Genomics: From Bioinformatics to Advanced Evolutionary Analysis.

Dates: 10–14 March 2025

Format: Online (14:00–20:00 Berlin time, with breaks)

Overview

This 5-day course is designed to equip researchers, clinicians, and bioinformaticians with the tools and knowledge to analyze bulk DNA sequencing data in the context of cancer research. Participants will gain hands-on experience with real and simulated datasets, learning state-of-the-art pipelines and advanced R packages for tumor evolution and mutational analysis.

Key Highlights:

  • Learn tumor evolution fundamentals and mutation calling using Nextflow pipelines like Sarek.

    • Perform copy number analysis, quality control, and integrate mutation data.

    • Explore multi-sample designs, clonal evolution, and mutational signatures.

    • Engage in a project day to analyze real or personal datasets.

Target Audience

Ideal for those with basic genetics/genomics knowledge and R programming experience. Pre-course materials will be provided to ensure readiness.
