Salmon RNA-Seq transcript quantification

I am trying to download Salmon for windows transcript quantification of RNA-Seq but I keep getting errors.

If you can explain how to do it step by step I would be very happy.

I am not familiar with the command prompt either

I'm assuming "for windows" means you're trying to install it on Windows?

According to https://salmon.readthedocs.io/en/latest/building.html, salmon is "currently unsupported on Windows".

Look into using WSL to run these types of software on Windows.

You should first install WSL and then you can follow the instructions here. This page also links to instructions for installing WSL.
