Computational Genomics Specialist
NIAID's Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch (BCBB)
I am a Computational Genomics Specialist with the NIAID's Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch (BCBB, http://bit.ly/NIAID-BCBB) in Bethesda, Maryland. Formerly, I worked as a computational biologist / bioinformaticist specializing in influenza virus research at the Influenza Research Database (www.fludb.org), formerly the BioHealthBase, one of five NIAID sponsoed Bioinformatics Resource Centers (BRC). I also contribute the to Virus Pathogen Resource (ViPR), the new virus Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC) under the principle investigator-ship of Richard Scheuermann. Furthermore, I am a Doctoral student at the University of Texas at Arlington in Computer Sciecne and Engineering, whiere my research involves influnza virus evolution.
