News:Biostar: 10,000 Question Milestone

This milestone has snuck up on us, we only noticed it this morning.

As of today Biostar contains 10 thousand questions, the vast majority of which have answers and/or comments associated with them. Having started about three and a half years ago from zero we have now grown into one of the most relevant sites that cover the fields of Bioinformatics and Genomics.

Congratulations and many thanks to the thousands of tireless and selfless contributors that make this site possible and with that promote science, education and technology, thus making the World a better place!

Congratulations to you, too, Albert!! And what about the number of visits per month? I remember that they already passed the milestone of 100,000 per month. We want stats!! :-)

Last month we had 298,831 pageviews generated over 148,789 visits by 76,977 unique individuals.

Over the entire year we had 2.8 million pageviews by 570,000 people.

These stats do not count robots and other automated accesses.

no real thanks goes to the idea itself to have a site for free from which you can learn and also help other with the simple things you know also thanks to the users whom sharing there time and knowledge to help new comers like me thanks a lot for the site admins and the decent users here with us.
