I'm a JSPS Postdoc Research Fellow at the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences working on RNA-sequencing, SNP genotyping, and QTL mapping. I take a transcriptome- and genome-wide approach to identify candidate genes/QTLs underlying phosphorus-efficient root traits in rice (Oryza sativa).

I received my BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), earned two master’s- MS in Genetics and Plant Breeding from BAU and MSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Sydney. I graduated from the University of Western Australia (UWA) with a PhD. I completed part of my PhD research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Plant Physiology, Golm, Germany.

I tackle my bioinformatics and data visualization problems using Bash, Python, and R programming languages. I have a great passion for bioinformatics coding, research, teaching, and science outreach. I'm a co-founder of “Show and Tell”, a scientific discussion group at UWA.
